With a population of about 1,700, the small desert town of Marfa delivers every bit of bite for its bark. Aside from the insane art scene which you can read more about here, Marfa boasts some of the best food that I have had while traveling. I genuinely had more kale on this trip than I have had all year! And I love kale! Ok, I know I lost some of you with that kale comment, but there was so much more than kale! The Avocado rösti (shredded potato shaped into a patty) at the Aster was perfectly crisped. The shrimp ceviche at LaVenture at the Saint George Hotel was fresh and citrusy. And make sure you swing by The Sentinel for some damn, good coffee and breakfast tacos. Their menu slightly changes for dinner, but the little kitchen next door to the main entrance delivers the flavor-filled dishes all day long!

Travelers tip: The restaurants (and most other local places) in Marfa close… well, whenever they want. Hours are rarely posted and if they are, it is just a suggested time. It doesn’t mean they won’t stay open a bit later (rarely) or even close early (quite common). Don’t rely on their website or a Google search to check out their posted hours of operation. Give them a quick call to confirm.

I launched this blog in 2012 as a simple way for me to share cool content about men’s grooming and style, design, and travel with friends. It has since evolved into a life | style platform where I have been able to share anything from up-and-coming brands, new eateries and boutique hotels, some of my favorite products and a few of my travels in between.
