Glenn Ligon’s neon and paint Untitled (America)

Blocks away from the Bentonville City Square is the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. The museum is a public non-profit charitable organization founded by philanthropist Alice Walton, of Walmart fame. I tend to visit museums quite a bit when I travel and Bentonville, AR was no exception. Out of all of the museums that I have visited, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is in my top 5 in terms of the quality of art and the architecture and design of the space. The building designed by world-renowned architect Moshe Safdie sits on the property that also includes a library, 5 miles of sculpture and walking trails, a restaurant and coffee shop and a museum store. The art that decorates the vast galleries and corridors of this museum is pretty spectacular, to say the least. From Glenn Ligon’s neon and paint Untitled (America), show above, to installations by Marie Bannerot McInerney (Trace Me Back), this place has it all. When visiting, give yourself a good two+ hours to explore the vast grounds and soak in all of the art. By the way, it is closed on Tuesday’s so plan accordingly.

About Me

I launched this blog in 2012 as a simple way for me to share cool content about men’s grooming and style, design, and travel with friends. It has since evolved into a life | style platform where I have been able to share anything from up-and-coming brands, new eateries and boutique hotels, some of my favorite products and a few of my travels in between.
