La Crosse, Wisconsin may not be on your travel list and it wasn’t particularly on mine. However, after our friends invited us to their wedding in La Crosse, some friends and I made a trip out of it and we had a blast! I love how concentrated everything was around our Airbnb. Since it’s a smaller city, the downtown area was walkable allowing us to easily visit restaurants, shops and bars. Curated was my favorite shop since their selection of goods spoke to me the most. Who doesn’t need a 53rd coffee table? The Charmant Hotel was one of the highlights of the trip due to the history of the building, how well its designed and the fantastic meal that we had at one of its restaurants called, The Restaurant.

If you happen to be in the area (and by “area”, I mean Milwaukee, St. Louis or Minneapolis), take an overnight trip to La Crosse. Have some cheese curds, float the Mississippi and grab a bite at Lovechild. Itinerary completed.
