Who doesn’t love a good concert, right? 2024 was a pretty good musical year. I was able to attend three concerts. Could I have attended a few more? Yes. Do my ear drums appreciate keeping my concert count to a minimum? Also a yes.
Here is my 2024 Year in Review: Concert Edition

First up was Chayanne. The Puerto Rican actor and singer has been entertaining us for 46 years now, which is crazy to think about. I grew up listening to him, specifically his ballad Tiempo de Vals which has quite literally played at every quinceañera in the past 30 years. He put on a great show that had us on our feet the entire time. The best part was seeing my mom enjoy the show, reliving her younger years with some of his older hits.
Performance: 8/10 | Set List: 8/10 | Seats: Despite being in the upper section, the view was solid. 8/10 | Parking: 9/10 | Ticket Price: 9/10

Marc Anthony delivered as well. Listen, the man has a set of pipes. We can all agree. The energy in the venue was great, as expected when you fill an arena full of Latinos! The transitions between songs could have been a bit smoother. Well, a lot smoother, but we had a great time!
Performance: 7/10 | Set List: 5/10 only because I feel like I didn’t know a lot of his newer songs | Seats: 5/10 only because they faced the center of the arena versus the stage so it was difficult for us to enjoy the show without twisting our bodies | Parking: 9/10 | Ticket Price: 9/10

The last concert of the year was Kiss FM’s Jingle Ball. I felt like I was probably too old to sit through 60% of the musical acts. No offense to Madison Beer or Wonho, but I had no idea who they were prior to this concert. However, Jason Derulo, Meghan Trainor and Shaboozey delivered! Overall, we had a good time sitting through all of the acts patiently waiting for the Meghan Traitor to save us.
Performance: 9/10 specifically for Meghan Trainor and Jason Derulo | Set List: 9/10 specifically for Meghan Trainor and Jason Derulo. They played all of their hits back to back which makes for the best concerts! | Seats: 6/10 only because we were a bit further back in the arena, but the view was unobstructed which was great | Parking: 9/10 | Ticket Price: 9/10
